Creative Kids Mystical Desert Art Mural Unveiled at Providence Children’s Hospital in honor of Marian Azar

El Paso, TX, September 10, 2022 — Creative Kids Mystical Desert art mural was
unveiled at Providence Children’s Hospital in honor of Marian Azar, during a private ribbon cutting ceremony.
Creative Kids, in partnership with Providence Children’s Hospital and the El Paso Community Foundation, created the mural Mystical Desert. The mural will be dedicated to the memory of Marian Azar. “She had a real love for children and her passion for the arts,” said her daughter, Chana Azar Burton.
Providence Children’s Hospital is grateful to have this opportunity to adorn the Ronald McDonald Family Room with this mural, where viewers get a peek of alebrije-styled animals that Creative Kids has brought to life. Three-dimensional models of the animals will be showcased in a permanent sculpture installation at La Nube, the new children’s museum and science center, opening in 2023.
“This mural is a reminder that art can connect us all and demonstrates the power and beauty that is found in our beautiful border region.” said Andrea Gates-Ingle, co-founder of Creative Kids.
“Many organizations have come together to inspire hope and imagination, and—most importantly comfort—for our smallest patients and their families,” said Rob J. Anderson, CEO for The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus & Providence Children’s Hospital. “Our Ronald McDonald Family Room provides a haven for families, and this new mural contributes to our patients’ therapeutic healing.”
