Providence Children’s Hospital unveils El Paso’s first Pediatric Complex Airway and Ventilator Clinic
Dec 2, 2021EL PASO, TX – Providence Children’s Hospital has unveiled El Paso’s first Complex Airway and Ventilator Clinic, providing personalized, ongoing care for children with ventilators or tracheostomy tubes.
Providence Children’s Hospital Complex Airway and Ventilator Clinic will provide a multidisciplinary program with specialized trained experts in caring for children with tracheostomies, long term ventilation or other complex airway needs.
“We are thrilled to be bringing this needed clinic and service to El Paso,” said Dr. Brian Mahmood, Pediatric Pulmonologist with Providence Children’s Hospital. “It is so important that children with tracheostomies and ventilators have the appropriate ongoing maintenance and care to ensure their continued growth and development.”
In addition to providing routine tracheostomy and ventilator maintenance and care, the specialized clinic will provide support and education for families caring for a child with complex airway needs.
